2012 Makanacoon Kittens

Purrbodys Boomerang and CH RP Cathouse Kapua of Makanacoon

These are photos of Purrbody's Boomerang and CH RP Cathouse Kapua of Makanacoon's litter, which arrived on 08/04/2012.

There were two kittens that we knew about via x-ray the previous week, but this litter came 4 days late which was a little nerve-wracking. But we got two new colors that we have never had. Rarely have we had vans, kittens that had a little spotting, a lot of white, and a colored tail. But both the male and female in the litter were vans. Both kittens had a lot of substance and muscle mass on their bodies at birth, and Kapua had an easy delivery. What more could I ask for?

Calico Van Female nicknamed "Kikokiko" (pronounced Key-ko key-ko) which means spotted or speckled. This kitten and her brother below look yellow in the pictures at 6 1/2 weeks, but are really white.

The photo on 07/31/2012 was about photo number 200 that I took to finally get a somewhat decent picture of this guy. Unlike a baby that you give a bottle to when it won't settle down, I finally got Serenade on his back and gave him his feathers. It worked as you can see!

(We will be retiring Boomerang soon, and he will be going to a wonderful friend's home in Wisconsin. We will be holding onto this kitten to see how he matures, and if he will take his father's place as a show/breeder male. If he becomes available, we will post it where his photos are on the kitten page in the weeks to come.)

GC Makanacoon's Whirl A Way and GC Makanacoon's Alamoana Annie

GC Makanacoon's Whirl A Way and GC Makanacoon's Alamoana Annie had a beautiful litter of boys that arrived on 10/03/2012. Although very closely bred, these kittens are vibrant red, healthy, and beautifully boned. I would love to keep one, but am still trying to go down on my number of cats, so I can continue my breeding program. We may be posting some of our fabulous cats on the Adult placement page soon. This is the part of breeding that is hardest for me!! All of the kittens in this litter are now reserved.

Babies asleep at one week of age. What a shock to get all RED Boys!!
