Makanacoon Moments

We are excited to share this page of fun
everyday Makanacoon Moments photos.  Enjoy!

"Well, if you won't let me in, I'll let myself in!!"

Hi Pat,

Mr. Monte has awakened to the fact that there are many advantages to being a polydactyl cat. As you can see in the attached picture, he has become quite good at using the computer.

The interesting part is, each front paw has two thumbs. His texting speed on our cellphones is nothing short of incredible.

I love this cat!

Aloha!
Char

"I was sleeping. Why are you bothering me?"

"Whooooo daaaaaare?"

Here is a picture of Brackenfur, known here as Red Mac, with his 2 year old buddy. The picture sure says it all, and how relaxed he is around a young child that has been taught to be gentle around new kittens. He looks very relaxed, and a definite part of this child's world!

"Now I can retrieve toys, but playing with a baby doll is asking for too much for a guy like me!"

I was delighted to see Ann C., the owner of six of my Red Maine Coon males, at the recent Newport Cat Show. She gave me this picture of Carlisle, who is from the last Whirlaway and Alamoana Annie litter.
This picture looks like Carlisle is singing "LALALALALA"!

A group picture of Bella and Izzy.
"Yes, we are two good looking siblings, and are known as the DYNAMIC DYNAMITE DARLING DUO."

Pictures of Big Mac, now known as Brackenfur, from the last Rocky Top and Makalika litter.

"Can I come up in your lap, Mommy? Please pretty please?"

"You're being sneaky, Mr. Pugsly, but I've still got my eye on you!"

"Yes, it's Abner here! Now bring me my fish dinner!"

Snug as a bug in a rug! Diana, who was nicknamed Lahela here at Makanacoon, is happy in her new home, and her owner, Bronwyn, is in love with her new kitty! Bronwyn's mom writes:

"Dear Pat,

Diana had a perfect first night and morning! Bronwyn is in heaven with her little girl.

Hugs,
Priscilla"

The gorgeous Princess Ona Pilikia in all her splendor at 22 weeks:

"If colors could knock your socks off, then I know you'd be barefooted if you saw me."

Pictures of Ona, who was nicknamed "Flew In On A Snowflake".

Our crazy little Ona!

"Yes, I am Ona, a Hawaiian Princess, and these are now my orchids."

"OK Mugzie, you got me this time, but just wait."

Recent picture of Sacco known here at Makanacoon as Peeps, from the Makalika and Charlie litter. She is one gorgeous lady!!

This is a picture of Smokin Hot, now called Sir Willoughby Paddlefoot, who has gone to live with my dear friend, Kris J. in Fairfax. This darling picture shows how wonderfully he is already settling in. He is going to be a huge boy, and already has a fabulous personality to match his big polydactyl feet.

"Abner here. Yes, I'm the Thanksgiving Turkey, the Easter Bunny, the Shark in the summer, Prince Charming, .....you name it, I'm it!!"

Picture of Mr Wriothesley making his morning car ride to take his favorite young lady to school. Of course, he has to show everyone that sees him that he is "SUPER KITTY".

This is Sacco (AKA Miss Peeps), just after she arrived in her new home.
"I just met you, but love you already, little kitty. I will be your protector and buddy forever!"

A recent photo of Willoughby.
"Yes, there is a King Kong, but I'm a Cat Kong, and one big Wammer Jammer! I sure took after my Daddy, Rocky Top! I even have his big Snowshoe polydactyl feet."

New photos of Nikki.

"Well daygone it, I'm at the vets now. Let me out of here!"

"Well I am Nikki, the big boy. Now quit teasing me because I've grown out of my cat tree!"

"Yes, I am one handsome boy!"

More photos of Breacan.

"I'm waiting for my bath first. I LOVEEEEEEE water!"

"Hurry up Tyrie, I want some of your food!"

"I love you Tyrie. You are the best sleep buddy any kitty could ever have."

This is Breacan who is deeply loved by the Crum Family. Breacan was nicknamed Mr Dots here, and was from the Gotabe and Sweet Annie litter born on 12/02/2016.

"Please don't take my box away. It is MINE ALL MINE!"

"OK Rover, it's time to take a walk!"

"Think you can outstare me? Never happen!"

"You are my buddy. I love you".

"I trust you so much, I'll roll on my back."

"Hey Rover, that's my toy."

"I am your guardian angel. I will always look out for you."

This is Abner, who is dearly loved by the Wright family.
"Yes, I am a SUPERMAN!!"

Abner: "Yes, I can do tricks, and a big High Five to Ya All!!!"

Jasmine with her new Newton's Cradle toy

"Yes, I'm Queen Amalya, and I'm definitely a DIVA!"

"I told you, Squiggly, that if we can't see eye to eye, it just ain't gonna work."

Squiggly

This is Cucumber Cutie: "I just got into my new home. Now what am I suppose to do?"

"Hi Ya'll, I'm a Popsicle."

Popsicle again: "Gees, I just got here, and I like it already."

"I'm Kota, and I'm relaxing on MY BED, before my new red baby brother (My Big Pumpkin) comes home."

"Where da hecks the rain? I've been lying here for an hour already!"

Furrari now named Nik -- "Yes, I'm the King of my castle, but I'm also the King of this chair. Can't you tell why?"

"My name was Mystie, and although I'm so longer alive, I was dearly loved. As you can see I loved to lie under this tree of memories."

Joey loves to cuddle!

This is Juliana G., who took home Phelan (AKA Purr Purr Kitty) with Rocky Top -- an amazing picture as he is as big as she is! HAHA!!

Another beautiful photo of Squiggly.. "Yes, I am one gorgeous putty cat!!"

Here's Squiggly in all her glory watching her Dad work outside. I thought this was such an interesting photo!.

"Anyone for Pizza?"

"Yes, I am Joey, and this was out so I thought it was a new perch for me"!

"Yes, my name is Squiggly Gibson, and I love to have my teeth brushed".

"Yes, I'm Bussy, the big Bus Man, and I'm snug in my rug!"

"Hey Punk, check out all this water!"

"Gees, I taught I taw a puddy tat!"

The love of a Mom and baby could teach some of us a lot. Here is Drifter with her son Willoughby.

Little Wild Bill Hiccup is comfortable and dreaming away!

When you get all tuckered out playing with your turbo ball ring, you just curl up and sleep on it!

Often a kitten isn't named until after it goes to its new home. But this is a picture that little Miss W (a 7 year old) drew of her new kitty-to-be. She has named him Joey Rodrick.

"Yes, I like to be up high so I can see all of my happy world."

"Yummmmmmmmmmmm.. crock-pot chicken coming soon."

This is a picture of where Gotabe loves to spend his afternoons.

A picture of Perseus:
"Well, Dad, I'm finally not moving. Take this picture fast if you want to see me!!"

"Twas a night after we got here, and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse".
-- Settling in at the new home, obviously a couple of happy kitties!

My name is Makanacoon's Woodstock Cholmondeley, and I am the KING!

Here's Willoughby on the 4th of July. He's one of Rocky Top's big polydactyl sons! Just look at those paws!

Nikki in his Halloween costume. We think he is saying "For Crying Out Loud!"

This is GC Makanacoon's Whirl A Way, Oldwestcoons Mollei of Makanacoon, Black Kitty, and Makanacoon's Rory dressed up in their Halloween costumes. They are Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Whirlie's expression shows how delighted he is to be in his costume for this year! Thanks, Anita, for the great photo!

"Please may I have some more?"

Christmas photo of Kermit and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Kermit is the French Bulldog, and Arnold is the Maine Coon. They are adorable!

Current picture of Tinsley who lives with Ann C. Ann owns 6 other Red and White Makanacoon boys. What a wonderful home they all have! One of my happiest moments is getting an email from Ann with an update on all of her Redheads. Tinsley writes

"Dear Miss Pat

My mom said I could wish you a Merry Christmas from all 7 Makanacoon redheads at Woodstock. My brother Carlisle and I are 3 years old now. I am not as big as some of my brothers; but, my mom says that no one has a heart bigger than mine. We are a happy band of brothers and we have a great life at Woodstock. Our mom loves us to bits and we are crazy about her, too. Merry Christmas!

Love,
Tinsley"

Abner is asking, "Is this tree for me?"

"My name is Kalua, and I may be 12 years old, but I still loves the tissue paper."
