Makanacoon Most Loved

We are delighted to share this page of photos showing Makanacoon cats that love and are loved by their owners (and fur buddies).

Here is a picture of Kida who is dearly loved by Sara.

A picture of Peter, and his furry buddy Mr Douglas. A better pair could not be made!

Douglas and his puppy buddy!!

These are pictures of a little girl who just got a kitten from me who we called Akoki. It sure shows how much my kittens are handled and fit right into their new homes!

This is a picture of beautiful Rolex from the last Rainboz and Rocky Top litter. What a fabulous litter that was. Other kittens in that litter were Boomer, Bear, and Tiger, that have been shown many times on my Facebook and website!!

New picture of Boomer from the last Rocky Top and Rainboz litter. His owners write:

"Dear Pat,
I hope you and your beautiful Maine Coons are doing well!? I am so excited to tell you that my husband has agreed to getting another one of your amazing and beautiful Maine Coon kittens!! Boomer is such a wonderful and amazing cat is every way, we would love to bring another one into our home! These cats are ADDICTIVE!! My husband is not a cat person, but he really enjoys Boomer. Boomer likes to gently "wrestle" with John. It is the funniest thing.

I am so excited!! Boomer will be a great big brother!

Thank you and take care,
Lori"

Just got this picture of Ona who I had originally named Flew In On A Snow Flake. Her name was later changed to Princess Ona Pilikia. Ona had a little attitude when she was a baby. When she went to live with Paul and his wife Peggy who do wildlife rescue, she was certainly put in the right home. I had to laugh when I heard how wonderful Paul and Peggy thought she was, as she was a pistol here. HaHa!!

We recently got this photo of Hoaloha. Her owner writes:

"Hi Pat!
Cody and I wanted to let you know that Hoa is having a wonderful time in her new home in Spokane, WA. Here is a picture of her in her Hoa house on Christmas day.

Love
Rachel""

Grown now and absolutely beautiful - picture of Zoey & Ginny (both of Rainboz; Zoey is on the left, Ginny on the right). Love these girls, beautiful and fun!

It's Mr. Monte's 5th birthday! Mr. Monte's owner Char writes:

"Hi Pat

It's hard to believe that Mr. Monte celebrated his 5th birthday yesterday. He's still very much a kitten at heart.

He doesn't like people food at all, with one very great exception - vanilla ice cream. He gets to have a little bit every year on his birthday. As you can see in the pictures, that little bit wasn't quite enough this year - he wanted mine too.

Aloha!
Char"

More new pictures of Boomer. Lori writes:

"Hi Pat,
I hope you and your beautiful Maine Coons are doing well! I wanted you to see how beautiful (and BIG) Boomer has become!! He is up to 17.5 lbs at just 11 months. He is the most amazing pet we have ever had!! He is so loving, smart, calm, and a great companion. Everyone who meets him is in awe of his size and beauty of course, but also of his calm and gentle personality! He has sure a long, thick, silky coat!! He is very good at letting me brush him and clip his nails. My only regret is that I didn't get two at a time! As soon as I can talk my husband into another one, you will be the first to know.

I saw on your website that Rocktop and Rainboz are expecting another litter. I can't wait to see the pictures!! I have been exchanging messages and pictures with Kim P. who owns Boomer's brothers, Tiger and Bear. They are gorgeous also and I have enjoyed watching them grow up. Thank you again for such a wonderful little Bubby!!

Take care,
Lori"

Ona Update:
"A little over a year ago, I did fly into Makanacoon Nursery on a snowflake. As you can see, I am one gorgeous 15 month old, 15 pound Diva, and so deeply loved by the Goodmans."

These are pictures of Keoni who is now called Boomer. He is deeply loved by the Adams family. Lori writes:

"Hi Pat,
Just wanted to send you pictures of our big lovable boy! Boomer has grown so much! He has enjoyed being on the screened in porch the past few days with the warmer weather. As you can see he loves to play with the wind chime, everything is a cat toy. We all love this big guy so much and cannot imagine life without him now! He has been around a lot of different people, young and old, and he knows no strangers. He instantly goes up to everyone wanting to play. He is a better retriever then our dog! It is so funny to us to see a cat retrieve and carry toys in his mouth like he does.
I hope all is well with you?! Take care and thank you again for such a wonderful little companion!
Lori Adams"

A photo is shown here of Diana (known here as Lahela) who is dearly loved by Bronwyn. Bronwyn's mother writes:

"Dear Pat,

My husband is visiting Bronwyn and having a great time with the beautiful Diana while he waits for Bronwyn to get home. Diana is a real beauty, very, very smart and a great companion to Bronwyn. Each night she sleeps on Bronwyn's pillow curled right up at her head.

Hope all is well with you.
Hugs,
Priscilla"

Just got this picture of Sasquash, from a previous Puamana and Embers litter, who is now called Ajax. Anne Marie writes:

"Patricia,

Just enjoying the winter and our lovely cat!!
Think of you often and you're forever in our prayers,
Anne Marie"

Photos of Mo and Lucille, whose owners write:

"Mo is big, beautiful, smart and a real lover boy. His tail is so fluffy & long. Lucille has an outstanding long coat & tail and is still a baby & a princess. The two are hanging together all the time. They are such joys!

Thank you again,
Don & Donna C."

A new photo of Loki, whose owner writes:

"Aloha Pat,
Happy New Year! Just wanted you to know that I put Loki's certification of neutering in the mail to you today. He is recovering well. Wanted to send you a photo of him too. He is pictured here with my son's girlfriend. He is such a wonderful cat! We all love him so much. Thanks so much for breeding such amazing good-natured cats.
Mahalo, Donie F."

More pictures of the female named Sacco (aka Peeps) from the last Charlie and Makalika litter. Her owner, Tara, writes:

"Hi Pat

I can't help sending pictures. Not only is she gorgeous, her temperament is wonderful. She is so sweet and gentle. She has never scratched or bitten me once. Just shows how good she was raised by you. She crawls up on my chest every night when I go to bed and just purrs and purrs. I can't stop picking her up! She plays with the dogs too! It's so funny to watch her stalk my big dog and see the dog run away. Sacco is definitely the boss! Hahahahaha.

If anyone was looking for a Maine Coon breeder I would highly recommend you Sacco is truly a gentle girl and very tolerant even if a stranger picks her up.

Tara"

Here's a picture of Loki (Aka Ho Hum) who is dearly loved by Donie F. who is in the photo. She writes:

"Aloha Pat,
I just wanted to reach out and thank you again for a Loki. He is such a wonderful kitten and we are really enjoying him. He's playful, lovable, everything you could want. He's quite handsome as well. He just went in and had his shots and a really good check up and he's doing fantastic, the vet just loves him as do we! Here is Loki at 14 weeks.
Mahalo, Donie F."

Here is a picture of Wriothesley who is dearley loved by the Cooper family. Ann says "Wriothesley is really a cutie. Very independent, very laid back, purrs all the time. EATS everything in sight. He already jumps on the cat counter to eat with the big boys. And, he adores Willoughby and Worcester."

"Pat,
I wanted to share a picture of Stega and Minmi having their 1st birthday cake today! It was made out of tuna and topped with shaved bonita tuna flakes! They were enjoying it so much I couldn't get them to look up at the camera! They bring so much joy to our lives and are the best cat brother and sister to Blaine and Lea! It is amazing how they are with a 2 year old and 7 year old! I will send some better pictures later as this one does not do them justice! They are gorgeous! Stega is HUGE and one solid and fluffy gentle giant! Minmi is smaller - but still big, and such a sweetie!
Jan"

Here are pictures of Tortilina and Slater or as they are called Lena Pena and Tay Tay. They are dearly loved by Jennifer, who writes, "Pat, It's been a while but just wanted you to see two of your babies older, but still awesome! We cherish them everyday!"

More beautiful pictures of Sacco, who was called Peeps in the last Makalika and Charlie litter. She is turning out to be a lovely lady. I know that Tara loves her deeply.

This is a picture of Cora who used to be Pink Catillac when she was a kitten here. She is dearly loved by Erin, who wrote below about her:
"Hi Pat,
Miss Cora decided to strike a pose and I just had to share it with you. She is now 18 months old and has quite a presence. She is graceful and ladylike, but also a wild mischief maker with a giant stubborn streak!

Fondly,
Erin D."

Here's a wonderful picture of Sacco who is dearly loved by her two puppies.

Here is a lovely painting that Nick got from his wife of their kitty, Makanacoon's Abner! Nick's wife had it done by a local artist.

This is a picture of Ajax that we got recently. His owner writes:
"Happy New Year Patricia, Just wanted to send an 18 month old picture of Ajax. He's warm, safe and in bed in our home! We think about you often and are eternally grateful you breed such lovely, beautiful cats. We feel truly blessed to have Ajax in our lives!
Have a great spring and stay warm!!
Anne Marie C."

Mr Monte's owner Char writes:
"Hi Pat,
Mr. Monte turned three at the end of September. What a beautiful kitty he is. I can't imagine my life without. What a smart little guy; he keeps me on my toes all the time.
Here are some recent pics.

Aloha!
Char"

Just had to put these pictures up of Colby who was adopted and is dearly loved by Dorthy T, after his Daddy became ill and had to let him go up for adoption. He was born in 2006, so is 11 years old now. He still looks beautiful, and is shown here after being groomed by LaDean Gordon of Purrocious Cat Grooming.

Sadly, we report the passing of Hiwalani (Lani) at age 15

Lani's owner writes:

Hi Pat,

Just wanted to pass on to you how much we loved our Lani (Born: 05/20/2002, daughter of J-Nine Go 4 the Gusto and Thunder Rose Foxlady). She passed away on July 1st, 2017 at the age of 15..

Lani travelled with me from Newport News to DC, Tampa FL, Santa Monica CA, Alexandria VA, Newport RI, Suffolk VA and now to Williamsburg in those 15 years. She's experienced the birth of my daughter and son and also the addition of a Greyhound and Golden Retriever to the family. She had a spunky personality but was always sociable.. My daughter enjoyed Lani keeping her company on her bed when she would go to sleep. Even with my then toddler son and daughter, Lani never bit or scratched them. Such a gentle cat.

Just thought I would let you know that she passed and how blessed we were to have her as part of our lives. We will truly miss her.

Aloha,
Kevin K.

Here are some lovely pictures of Drifter in her new forever home. These pictures sure show the wonderful care and happy home that Drifter went to. I'm so happy that William and Edna love her so much!

These are some lovely pictures of a cat named Sir Gaston that went to Gladys S. ten years ago. Gladys adores this cat, has birthday parties for him, makes clothes for him, and loves him to pieces.

This is a female named Hoaloha who is dearly loved by Rachel and the Canby family.

Here are Ann Cooper's seven red-headed Makanacoon boys! What a lovely collage they all make. She constantly tells me what a joy they bring to her life, but it's really what a joy she brings to their lives!
