Makanacoon Cats in Their New Homes

Now we would like to share with you photos of some of our
Makanacoon cats that are loved and spoiled by their families.

"What greater gift than the love of a cat?" by Charles Dickens

Pictures of Big Brown Hibiscus in her new home. She definitely looks like she is comfortable and happy!

A picture of the coat of Pono now called Suzy who is dearly loved by Sandra W. and a picture of Puni now called Savannah who is dearly loved by Pat A. They are both from the Trey and Camo litter born 05/21/2020.

Lovely picture of Tiger with his favorite girl, Kim P.

More beautiful pictures of Tiger and Bear!

A photo of the kitten who was nicknamed Ano Nui here, now named Bellatrix. Her owner says

"The kitten is just the sweetest ever! She's settling in very well."

This is a picture of Makanacoon's St. Lucia Louie that lives with Misha Peersman in Belgium. Louie came from the last beautiful litter from Coonopry's Rocky Top of Makanacoon and CH Rockstarcats Rainboz of Makanacoon. We are hoping to get one more litter from this pairing in the future!!

"Yes, I am a King Of Gorgeous, and I know it!"

These are photos and video of a darling little kitten (well not really little) named Douglas and his puppy Beatrice.

In the video, Douglas knows exactly what he was doing. He didn't slap Beatrice's body, he got her right on the head, and was ready to take off which he did. HAHA!!

Bear and Tiger.
I have watched these two boys from the last Rainboz and Rocky Top litter from the minute they were born to now. They have grown into gorgeous handsome boys, and I wanted to share this beautiful card with my friends. Even though there are not a lot of cat shows in this area, these cats demonstrate my continued desire to produce lovely show quality kittens that will be placed in pet homes. Time changes a lot of things, but not everything. Aloha, Pat

"Hi Pat,
I hope to find you well.

I am writing to give you an update on Sweet Annie and Ellie Belle (formerly HaHa). Both joined our family a little over a year ago and we are so happy to have them in our lives. Annie has gained 3 lbs (she now weighs 11 lbs), runs, plays, and is queen of the house. Ellie is now 18 months old, weighs 16 lbs, and is full of personality.

Both are incredibly sweet and loving. Thank you for raising such loving Maine Coons! Both have become lap kitties!

I have attached a few pictures.

Thank you once again."

This kitten nicknamed Woof Woof, from the recent MissAtie and Remember When litter, had just gone to her new home when these pictures were taken, a few hours after she left Makanacoon. We always caution new pet owners to give a new kitten time for a few days in a room where their new owner can sleep with them before starting to socialize the kitten with strange animals. In this case, Woof Woof was introduced immediately, and did quite well. The pictures tell the story!

Pictures of Lukah and Moose, whose owner writes:

"The babies are 11 months old now. Moose is almost 20 lb; Lukah is clocking in at 18. We would love for you to see them. As a side note the vet called us and asked us where we got those cats. He wants to buy one. I can't tell you how many people have fallen in love with these two babies
Hope you are doing well."

Happy 1st Purrrttthday Tiger & Bear!

Pictures of Tiger and Bear, whose owner writes:

"Happy Father's Day, Dad (Rocky Top)
Aloha Pat,
We look more like our Dad (Rocky Top) every day. We are vocal, active and loving kitties. Of course we are spoiled beyond measure.
The Coonie Brothers,
Bear & Tiger

Pictures of Tiger and Bear from the last Coonopry's Rocky Top of Makanacoon and CH Rockstarcats Rainboz of Makanacoon litter. Hard to believe that they are only 6 months old in these photos!!!

More pictures of Tiger (11.4 lbs) and Bear (10.2 lbs) at not quite 6 months old!

Pictures of Keoni, now called Boomer, who is owned and loved by the Adams family.
Lori writes:

"Hi Pat,

I hope all is well with you and your beautiful Maine Coons!?! I just wanted to send you some recent pictures of my handsome Boomer. He is growing so fast! I took him on his first road trip to my parents house at Lake Gaston, a 2 hour drive. He did wonderful in the car, just laid quietly in his crate and took a nap. He loved my parents big screened in back porch!! He is the most amazing little guy, so loving and sweet to everyone he meets. Thank you again for such a wonderful addition to our family!
Take care,
Lori"

This is a picture of Rolex who is dearly loved by Mark J. Rolex is a polydactyl Cameo boy that is going to be huge and gorgeous at maturity. Can't wait to watch as he continues to grow and blossom!

Tiger & Bear at 4 months old
Both are lovely Brown Mackerel Tabby boys that are brothers and Polydactyls.

Beautiful pictures of Izzy aka HoHo & Bella aka Smiley. They are huge, and only 9 months old!
Sharon writes:

"Hello and Happy New Year Pat!

I wanted to share some recent pics of our prides and joys, Bella and Izzy with you. I cannot even begin to tell you what they mean to us and the joy they have brought to our lives! They are exceptional in every way, right down to the Christmas decorations, which they never bothered! They know the words, "no" and, "be nice." They are very lovable and adorable, and spoiled rotten!!! We love them so and couldn't imagine our lives without them!!!
Thank you,
Sharon and Barry"

Bella (left) and Izzy (right)

Here are pictures of CH Makanacoon's Do I Gotabe This Or That who has been retired, and is living a wonderful life, and very happy in his new home. He has his blue tie on, and seems pretty proud of it!

Pictures of Kawika now called Rolex from the Rainboz and Rocky Top litter. Just a lovely Cameo Polydactyl boy that his owner, Mark, adores!!

A lovely note and pictures of the little kitten I nicknamed "Flew In On A Snowflake", now called Ona. Her owners write:

"Hi Pat,

I thought you might enjoy the latest photos, taken this past weekend. Ona is such a character. She's very affectionate, yet at the same time she's feisty and playful and she often makes us laugh. She is thoroughly at home here now - upstairs, downstairs, exploring and getting lots of exercise. She enjoys helping Peg prep meals for the rehab animals and generally making herself useful with the chores around the house.

Hope all is well there. Thank you for letting us be the ones who got Ona. We're just crazy about her!

All best wishes until the next Ona Update!

Paul and Peg"

We recently got this video of the kitten nicknamed Whistles, now called Cookie, who left for his new home on January 14, 2018. Sure looks like he's already off to a wonderful start with a fabulous loving home.

More pictures of the kitten nicknamed Chirps, now called Wriothesley.

Ann C. writes:
"Dear Pat,

Wriothesley (pronounced "Riz lee") is growing and is always hungry. He is a sweet, agreeable kitten who rides happily back and forth to school each day. Most of all, Wriothesley follows his hero Willoughby around and stays very close to him. Thankfully, huge Willoughby (with his gentle, laid back personality) is very tolerant of the kitten. I always fear that adding a new kitten might upset a delicate balance in my cat family. Once again, our Makanacoon kitten has fit right in and, already, we cannot imagine our world without him. Thank you, Pat!

Love, Ann"

These are pictures and a report on the kitten nicknamed Chirps, now called Wriothesley, who left for his new home on January 14, 2018.

Ann C. writes:
"Dear Pat,

Wriothesley made the trip home very happily.
He has an interesting personality. He is surprisingly calm but unafraid. When we got home, I put the carrier on the floor in the kitchen snd let the other cats walk around it for a while before I opened it. When the kitten came out, he and the other cats interacted without much drama. Only Carlisle is bent out of shape (and is hiding) because of the kitten's presence. Even Worcester is being pleasant.

This little kitten is going to be a nice addition to my family.

Thank you, Pat."

Top Right: Worcester with Wriothesley
Bottom left: Wriothesley
Botton right: Willoughby in Wriothesley's carrier

Here's a fabulous picture of Worcester owned by Ann C.   Worcester is a kitten from The last Kikokiko and Rocky litter.

We recently got this picture of Tyson, known previously known as Brown Bear, from the last Embers and Honolulu litter. Tyson is now 1 year old. I think he is one gorgeous boy!!

Pictures of two of Puamana and Embers kittens from their 2016 litter. When I raised these kittens up until 12 weeks of age the nickname of the girl on the right was Crusin Susan (now called Khalessi). The female on the left was nicknamed Clarabelle (now called Nymeria). When I see pictures of my kittens as they are maturing, I'm thrilled. These girls are both Polydactyls, and have turned out to be lovely.

Picture of Louie from our Jan. 2017 litter of Rocky Top and Rainboz. What a lovely boy Louie has turned out to be. Wow, check out those lynx tips!

New picture of Breacan snuggling in for a peaceful night's sleep.

Mr. Squash, now called Tom Kitten, has turned out to be one gorgeous boy.

New picture of Jasmine known here as Cucumber Cutie from the Kalei and Gotabe litter.

We recently got this photo of Abner from Nick. Abner is now a year old!

Amalya on left from Coonopry's Rocky Top of Makanacoon (polydactyl) and CH Makanacoon's Drifting On A Memory (now retired). Beautiful Squiggly on the right from regular foot parents.

Gale with her love Squiggly!

This is Cora Belle (AKA Pink Catillac). Her owner writes:
"Here is a picture of Cora at 9 1/2 months . Look at that coat! She is the definition of fluffy with these long tufts of hair behind her ears. Just beautiful and quite confident!"

Another picture of Cora Belle (AKA Pink Catillac). Her owner writes:

Hi Pat,
Hope you are well.

I wanted to share this picture of Cora. She is 15 months old and a real fluffy beauty. Her personality is amazing. This gal loves to play hide and seek with us. Her chirps and trills when she sees us peer behind the corner to signal the "game is on" are hysterical. She used to adore those battery operated spinning feather toys, but sadly gave them up. Her 20 pound Maine Coon brother, Fenway, taught her that she could win every time by simply sitting on the entire thing! No chasing required! As you predicated, she is a little princess. Everything she does is dainty and gentle. She reminds me of a ballet dancer.

Thanks for all your dedication and hard work with Maine Coons. You have produced wonderful cats!

Here is a picture of Tiger Paws who is now called Max. WOW! He has turned out to be a lovely boy. He is deeply loved by Mary, so much so that she wants to get him a little sister to keep him company!

Newest picture of Sasha who is dearly loved by MC.

A picture of Nikki who is dearly loved by MC.

Newest picture of Chica aka Twizzles. Dearly loved by Linda B.

Updated photo of Amalya!

Here are pictures of Twizzles from the Sweet Annie and Gotabe litter who went to her new home recently. She is dearly loved by Linda B.

This is My Big Pumpkin, now called Popsicle, with his new Buddy, Will. I think you can tell already that Popsicle is going to be dearly loved.

Kitty on the right is Amalya whose Dad is Coonopry's Rocky Top of Makanacoon. Rocky is a polydactyl. This picture shows the difference in boning, in this case, between a polydactyl dad (daughter on the right), and a daughter of a regular footed dad. Both girls are gorgeous, but an interesting picture!
Paul says, "She has big bones for a girl!"

This is the kitten in the Alamoana Annie litter named Spit Fire, the day after he left Makanacoon. His new name is Tybee and Rachel wrote the words below about him. He had only been at his new home for a few hours when these pictures were taken.

"Hi there! Thank you again for letting me take one of your babies, I love him so very much. He has been doing great since I brought him home! Tybee seems comfortable and is settling in quite well! Here are some pictures of him from today!!!"

More pictures of Tybee (AKA Spit Fire) in his new home.

"My name is Kota, and I'm a BIG boy now!"

"Then and Now" photos of Ajax, whose nickname was Sasquash, with his kitten photo at age 7 weeks (left), and at 6 months (right). Anne Marie's comment with the new photo was "Beautiful kitty!!!", and we agree!

This is Oliver, AKA Gigablast. Kali writes:

Hi Pat,

I hope this message finds you well! Just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful addition to our family! Oliver is truly as beautiful inside as he is outside! Just wanted to share a few pics with you because I know you were just as curious to see how he developed.

Best,
Kali and Alex

Here's a lovely picture of Ajax who was known as Sasquash when he was being raised here. For all of you who have asked for a silver male and a poly at that -- well, here's one we had; he is now deeply loved by the Cardoni family. Can't wait to see this beautiful Silver with White Poly boy grow up!!

A new picture of Kota. His mom writes:
"I've attached some pictures of Kota (previously known as Binky). He is just the sweetest cat ever! He follows me around the house all day and is always around us."

Another picture of Furrari, now called Nikki. Marilyn writes:
"Nikki sleeps with me every night and always follows me around. I hate to leave home. :(
Hugs Marilyn"

My precious little Furrari, now called Nikki. Loved to pieces by Marilyn. This was one beautiful boy I wish I could have kept!

Here are photos of a kitten called Elly May that is dearly loved by Mark.

Rosie's new mom writes
"Cox Fox is now Rosie. Rosie is going to be a very big girl, like her father. Take a look at the size of those paws! She chirps and squeaks all the time, such a vocal cat! Her tabby markings are coming in beautifully all over. And the neck ruff and plume of a tail are so darling.
Thanks again for doing what you do in preserving this wonderful breed. Perhaps someday I'll return for a male.
Cindy C."

Here's Nick with his new buddy Abner (aka Sugar Foot).

Milton is 8 lbs 7 1/2 oz at 17 weeks!

Milton's owner writes
"Hi Pat - Just thinking about you and the pleasure Milton has brought into our lives. It is so much fun to watch him grow as he gets more beautiful every day. Hope all is well with you.    Kay"

Just got this picture of Bailey (aka Puff and Purr) from the last Drifter and Gotabe litter. Boy is she changing. She's beautiful!

Here's a picture of Smokey AKA Nighty Night. Michael says Smokey is eating well, sleeping with him, and always brings his little mouse to bed with him.

This is Oliver. Oliver's new owner writes:

"Hi Pat,

Wanted to send you an update on Oliver. He did great on the way home. He was a little shy yesterday morning, but then settled right on in. He played like a crazy kitten all last night. He is such a personable, sweet kitten, and you are right about full of personality! We could not be more in love with him! Thank you so much for bringing him into our lives. I will make sure I send you picture updates as he grows! Please stay in touch with us as we definitely would like to get a brother or sister for him later this year.

Best,
Kali"

First picture of Bailey (AKA Puff and Purr) in her new home with her new forever Mom, Patty. She's tuckered out after a new day full of many new changes!!

Hoaloha in her bed the first day home.

Remy with Brady, his favorite human buddy.

Another picture of the lovely Amalya.

These are pictures of one of the lovely males from the Do I Gotabe This Or That and Rainboz litter. His name is Oyster, and he is dearly loved by the Kunz family. In the second picture he is playing a kitty video game!
